Mariposa is a pit bull terrier mix, and approximately 2 yrs. old, weighting about 53 pounds. She loves to run and play and would probably excel at agility or something to exercise her body/mind. She has a touch of anxiety that the foster is working on. A real home will help her in that respect. She is a very nice dog. We have no way to cat test her. House trained; crate trained. Good with kids over 10 years of age. located in Hermiston Oregon, transport is available within the PNW to approved home. If interested email journeyhomerescue@outlook.com ask for Mariposa.

Additional adoption info

Fees range between $150-$650. An adoption application, followed by a check of references, such as Veterinarian, and a home check and or pictures. After which the board will go over all the information and decide what is the best for the animal.

At present we are a foster based rescue. People are welcome to come meet our animals in their foster homes by appointment. In the future we will have adoption events in our areas.

More about this rescue

The founders of the multi state rescue have over 80 years of experience in rescue. We saw the need to use our experience to help and we formed Journey Home. Our love and passion for helping neglected, injured, abandoned, homeless animals is our utmost priority. Educating the communities on the need for spayed, neuter, and vaccines and training as needed. We rely on donations, and fundraisers and grants to help sustain the rescue.
