Breed: Mixed (possibly Black Mouth Cur and Pointer, maybe even Border Collie or Lab)
Age: ~1 year old

Background: Josephine was wandering around with another dog. The other dog was reclaimed, but Josie didn't seem to have a home.

Personality: Josephine has a very pure and gentle heart. She finds a great amount of comfort with humans. She will rest her head gently on your leg or nestle her head in your arms. She is incredibly full of love and will follow you wherever you go. Josie is adoringly affectionate and loves being babied and comforted.

She is new to the shelter so she is quite scared here. She doesn't like loud noises or sudden movements but this may change once she gains confidence. Even though she is only 1, she is housetrained and doesn't bark or jump. She has a very quiet, calm, and gentle demeanor.

Ideal Home: Josephine would benefit from a quiet home so she can build her trust and confidence. She prefers to be as close as possible to the person who shows her the most love - so close it was nearly impossible to take a picture of her by herself. She was very attached to the dog she came in with, so it may be helpful for her to have another companion to truly show her the ropes. She has not been officially cat tested but she may be fine due to her gentle nature.
