My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I NEED A GOOD AND LOVING HOME WHERE I CAN LIVE INDOORS AND RUN AND PLAY OUTSIDE! I am NOT be a big girl and I only weigh 40 pounds.  I like playing with other dogs, and playing with toys.  When I get tired, I go to my foster mom and dad and sit on their lap and take a nap.  Currently, I sleep in a crate at night and it makes me feel safe.  My prior mom, got very sick and is now in ICU fighting for her life.  She is so sad without me, but my mom said if I am happy, she will be happy!  I really miss her terribly, but I am hopeful that another beautiful mom or dad is out there looking for a girl like me.  I am looking for a kind home where I will be part of the family forever, and for the rest of my life.  I am good dog and a fast learner.  I am mellow and very well behaved.  Housebroken and looking for love!  I have recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Dermatomyositis that affects my skin.  It does not affect my quality of life, and the Dr said it can be managed with medication. I will live a full and happy life, but I need my special family that will love me!  I have been waiting for so long, and I am really, really a nice girl.  I promise!   I am  adorable and still waiting.  Please contact my rescue so she can talk to you more, and send updated photos.  My medication has helped my condition tremendously.  It is very easy to maintain with 2 pills that my mom picks up at Costco.   I am so much happier now that my skin is better.  It is not hard to take care of me,and my rescue mom can tell you all about it... I have been waiting so long for my special family-  Please consider adopting me, if you are super nice, and will care for me forever.  I AM SUCH A SWEET GIRL- I AM GOOD WITH DOGS OF ALL SIZES AND I AM GENTLE!!   CAT FRIENDLY!  When you first meet me, I am a bit shy and nervous, but after I know you will be nice to me, I will start to trust you and you will see what a nice and loving girl I am.  Trust me, I want to be part of a family, where they will love me as much as I will love my humans!

More about this rescue

We named our rescue after my beloved Golden Retriever that passed away from Cancer at too young of an age. I had fostered for years, and Sandy was the ambassador and helper for all the animals that entered our home scared, confused and frightened. We are a team of animal lovers, dedicated to saving lives of animals that have been neglected, dumped and abandoned in high kill shelters.
This rescue strives to find the best homes, and also offer assistance even after the adoption.
