This helps Mutts N Such Rescue with pet care costs.
THE FOLLOWING PET IS FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT!!! Details below
My name is Brooke, and I was born under a deck with my 6 brothers and sisters in Texas in July. My mom and dad were both wild…we even heard them called feral. The kind people who live in the house wanted to give all of us a better life than my mom and dad. So, they asked for help from these nice people at Mutts N Such Rescue, and all of us got to move inside away from the really hot weather, the cars on the streets, and the coyotes and dogs. We have food that just magically appears ALL THE TIME, and our mom tells us to be very grateful because that isn’t the way it was when she was a kitten. We all learned to use a litter box, and we never have accidents. We were all taken to the doctor to make sure we are healthy (we are!), to give us shots to keep us healthy, and to make sure that we will never have babies that have to go hungry or dodge coyotes and cars. Now, 6 of us are ready for our next chapter, which is to find our FUREVER family! As you can see, I am an interesting tortie. I still have a little of the fear my mom thought she had to teach me about humans, but when the humans from Mutts play with me with the fishing pole & laser and when they pet me, I forget all of that fear. I start purring, especially when they scratch my chin and rub my ears. I sometimes forget that picking me up leads to more chin scratches, and the Mutts humans gently remind me that I am safe. I remember that I like to be petted, and I start purring again. My furever family will need to be patient with me. I am becoming a cuddler, but I am still learning. Just like my sisters, I am a very quiet kitty, speaking up only occasionally and then only softly. I like to dive under blankets and peek my head out to see if someone is going to pet me. I love my sisters, and I could be adopted with one of them. I am also independent, and I can be adopted without any of my brothers and sisters. OUR CATS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.
All our cats are fostered in Texas but available for transport out of state. Our cats are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).
Our out of state adoption fee is $200 plus transport fee (varies by location). This fee includes age appropriate, vaccinations, registered microchip, testing for FIV and FELV, and a fecal analysis. Cats will be spayed/neutered if over 6 months of age. Cats will also be current on flea prevention. A health exam will be completed, and a certificate will be issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
Note: MNS reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care.
