Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Lionel was spotted by a Good Samaritan wandering as a stray in Fontana. It was a hot day, so she brought him into her home to cool him down, and then started door knocking around the neighborhood to find his owners. When that did not produce results, she posted on all of the lost dog sites she could think of.
Not being allowed to keep him per the rules of her home, she brought Lionel to the San Bernardino City Shelter in hopes that his owner would find him there. Sadly, Lionel was not claimed, and we scooped him up to become a Frosted Face on August 3rd.
Lionel is around 9 years old, weighs 55 lbs., and is very sweet and gentle. He has limited vision, but you'd hardly know it from his eager and enthusiastic behavior on the trail during our weekly FFF hikes. He is able to see dogs and passing volunteers, and overall he has wonderful leash manners and plenty of energy and stamina, even on a summer day! He is curious but well-mannered around other dogs, and he loves pets and back scratches.
Lionel went paddle boarding with volunteers and other Frosted Faces, and he was a natural! He enjoyed watching the sights, easily balanced himself, and then was ready for a nap. Lionel is a very good boy that you can take anywhere!
Lionel is currently on an extended Frosted Fling, and he earns rave reviews for being a loving, well-behaved companion. His Fling Mom reports:
"Lionel is amazing! He loves car rides and sits in the back seat like a good boy, loves getting his puppuccino at Starbucks, loves going on walks, is a great walker, goes to stores with me and is a very good boy. He also loves to cuddle and gets very happy when we get home always greeting us at the door.
Lionel is also potty trained, playful, plays fetch, and has enjoyed going to the dog park and socializing with other dogs. He also loves it when my family comes over. I have a 5 year old nephew and he loves to play with him.
Lionel is ready to join your family! To arrange a time to meet this special boy, please email adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org.
