If Mimi could talk, she would tell you she doesn’t know what to make of all the noise at the Mesquite Animal Shelter. She’d tell you she wants to be in a home where she’s loved on so she can relax. Please grant her wish. You can tell she’s so sweet. Mimi is an eight month old 43 pound shiny silver and white terrier pit that cane to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 8/3 as a stray. When I first met her in her kennel, she was conflicted. She would run to the front, all happy and friendly, and then quickly retreat to the back of her kennel and then do the same thing again. When walking out of the kennel, she would attempt to walk between my legs for security. She relaxed some out in the yard, but we couldn’t stay there because it was getting too hot for her. She was smart enough when she went in the laundry room to find the most comfortable comforter to relax on. Her tail does wag and she does want to make friends. She wants and needs to be an inside dog. She will cuddle up next to you on the couch or at your feet in her own bed.
