Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Freddie, a remarkable 2-year-old pitbull mix who is eagerly waiting for his forever home. This sweet, gentle soul was rescued from the Downey Animal Control Center just moments before he was scheduled to be euthanized due to space constraints. Despite facing such dire circumstances, Freddie’s spirit remains unbroken, and his heart is full of love and hope.
He was found as a stray in June 2024, but it's clear he was never mistreated or neglected. His affectionate nature and eagerness to bond with people and other dogs speak volumes about his loving past. Being neutered and microchipped, Freddie is ready to transition into his new home smoothly.
He’s affectionate, loves people and other dogs, and is already potty-trained and crate-trained. He’s a quick learner, mastering commands like “sit” and making great strides with leash walking thanks to a professional trainer. Freddie enjoys walks, baths, car rides, vet visits, and of course belly rubs. He’s playful and curious, especially when exploring his toy basket filled with his favourite tug ropes, balls, and chew toys.
Freddie is looking for a loving forever home where he can continue to thrive and share his boundless affection. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will fill your life with love, Freddie is the one for you.

Additional adoption info
We are very thorough in our process to make sure each pet has the best chance of a forever home. We know nothing is guaranteed forever, so every pet we placed is microchipped with our rescue as a point of contact should that animal ever end up in the shelter.
