My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Warren is an awesome 2-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on July 10, 2024 after he had been left at a rental property on Warren Avenue in Belpre Ohio.

This handsome guy has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable chubby face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.

Warren was a little 'under the weather' and a bit too thin when he entered out shelter .. But he was a charmer from day one, and we immediately fell in love with him. Warren was given terramycin eye ointment along with daily doses of extra TLC and gourmet food by our amazing HSOV kennel techs and within days he was already beginning to feel (and look) like a different kitty.

Warren was given vaccinations, wormer and flea treatment on July 15, 2024. He weighed 7.7 lbs that day. Warren was given booster vaccines on July 31, 2024.

Warren has the sweetest, most lovable personality. These photos were taken on July 30, 2024 in our 'studio' while Warren showed off his 'body beautiful' and gave our photographer lots of loving. Warren displayed his affectionate, playful side with a tiny goofy-looking stuffed mouse .. And then relaxed to show off his intellectual side while he checked out a vintage copy of Roget's Thesaurus in order to add a few new words to his vocabulary (smile). He even added some stylish red reading glasses to complete his studious appearance.

Warren is a big guy who loves attention, and he isn't shy about asking for petting and belly rubs. Warren gave us his best 'Playboy Centerfold' poses during the last half of his photo session and wistfully gazed at the camera lens.

Warren will be neutered in the near future and will soon be ready to find a home with someone special.

UPDATE: Warren was neutered on September 17, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 9.5 lbs that day.

Note: Warren possibly has entropion eyelids .. a condition where the eyelid margin rolls inward, causing eyelashes and fur to rub on the surface of the eye.
