My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Hawk! I am the sweetest little boy on the block and I would love my very own furever family! My birthday was April 18, 2024. I am a fast learner, know how to go potty as soon as I hit the grass, but could use a little more coaching to be one hundred percent potty trained. I'm a big fan of the belly rubs. I'll roll right over for them if I know you. If someone new comes over, I might get a little scared for a bit until I find out they're nice. I am just little you know. They called me the runt of the litter. My foster mom is my safe place. I like her a lot, she give me lots of pets and food. I saw a tiny frog the other night and I hopped along right behind it trying to get my nose close enough to sniff because it was weird and different and cool. My foster dad picked me up though so I didn't ever find out what it smelled like. I'm pretty mellow, but I get the zoomies sometimes. I'm not sure what they are either but when my foster parents talk about it they laugh and laugh. It must be a good thing. I can't wait to meet you, so make sure you fill out the app at bcrrt.com with my name, Hawk, because that's how they said I can find you!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Once we have your application we will begin our screening and matching process so we can help find you a perfect match.

All Applicants are interviewed, reference checks and a home visit completed.

Once approved and you have met a dog that you would like to adopt, an adoption contract will be completed and an adoption donation of $300.00 requested to complete the adoption process.

BCR&R is totally dependent on our volunteers and foster homes, most of whom have full time careers and commitments outside of BCR&R. As a result, we work with potential adoptive families in the evenings and weekends.

More about this rescue

Border Collie Rescue & Rehab (BCR&R) is a network of volunteers and foster homes dedicated to helping save Border Collies, Border Collie mixes and other similar herding breeds.

The dogs in our program have come from shelters and the streets and we bring them into our homes and provide them with the training and love necessary to help them become valued members of a family. We call it our Rescue & Rehab Program.

All dogs are provided with necessary veterinary care and are microchipped. The dogs in our program will live with us as part of our families for a minimum of 3 to 4 weeks for evaluation and training in addition to ensuring overall health.
