My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet S`mores, a senior dog with a heart as sweet as her namesake. Her demeanor is mellow, her spirit gentle, her shyness a testament to her humble nature. S`mores is the embodiment of tranquility, her calm presence a soothing balm in a bustling world. Despite her shy nature, S`mores has a remarkable ability to form deep, meaningful connections with those who take the time to know her. This darling dog`s serene nature makes her the perfect companion for those seeking a peaceful, loving pet. Her age brings wisdom and a certain grace that only time can bestow. S`mores is ready to share her golden years with a loving family. Adopt S`mores and add a dash of sweetness to your life.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
