Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This precious girl is Nia. She is a terrier mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 8/3. Yes, you read that correctly. She has been at the shelter for well over three months. Nia weighs 56 pounds, is about 3 years of age and is spayed. The volunteer who did her original eval named her Nia because it means bright and she certainly lives up to her name. She’s a bright shining star! She does well on a leash. She knows the sit command, she will do so for treats and takes them nicely. She has an easy-going personality and a calm and gentle demeanor. She spent a great deal of time during the photo session exploring the yard. She is a friendly and affectionate girl, OK with being petted and I’m told she gives kisses, though I did not receive any today. She is patiently waiting and hoping that one day soon someone will stop in front of her kennel window, ask to spend time with her and fall head-over-heels in love with her! She must insist on being an inside dog because she wants to socialize and be an integral part of the family circle. Please help Nia’s residence at the shelter to quickly come to an end so that she can begin her new life in her forever home.
