My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, Loving, Purry

Elmer is a super cute old man kitty with a super cute personality and super cute face! He is so chill, calm, sweet, and snuggly that you can't help but love him immediately. He will take any pets you offer and purr deeply when you come near. He easily shares his affection, and just as easily hangs out by himself. He's a charmer!

Elmer was hit by car as a young dude, and has been paralyzed since. His hind legs are paralyzed, which gave him incontinence. He needs you to express his bladder (press gently on it) a couple of times a day to help him go pee, he can't pee on his own. It's pretty straightforward; APA! will show you how and make sure you are comfortable with it. Check out this video to see how simple it can be! bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo

Elmer isn't very active, preferring to have cozy places to hang out and enjoy life. He coexists fine with other cats, and would be fine with older kids who can understand that he is an older cat with paralyzed leggies!

Elmer's spirit has prevailed, despite the accident in his younger years. He leads with his heart, his love for his people, and his contentment. He is looking for a quiet home with people who will care for him and provide lots of comfy places for him to snuggle and purr!

Though Elmer is incontinent and requires some extra medical care, the care he requires is pretty routine! He is a super sweet sweetheart! Contact APA! for more information on how to care for him.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
