Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Well, I’ve had quite a ride. Somehow I ended up in a rural shelter with 59 other cats. Mother Nature must really think we need rain down here, as our area has had nonstop downpours and flooding. When my shelter flooded, the whole lot of us had to be shuttled to other rescues during an emergency evacuation. I am finally ready to plant my paws somewhere permanently and adopt a human! I am looking for a quiet home since I’ve had enough bouncing around and chaos. I’d love to live with a kitty friend who is confident and can show me the ropes but I can also acclimate on my own if my person is close by. I’m not fond of a loud environment so a home with small children wouldn’t be the best one for me. However, older kiddos who aren’t noisy and answer my meows for pets are great. I have discovered this amazing thing called a bed and it has a person (my foster) who loves on me and I get to sleep with her. It’s been absolute heaven after all I’ve been through. I have lots of purrs to dole out for my forever people - are you my forever home?
This pet is located in Houston, TX. After you fill out the application, and become an approved adopter, we will schedule a virtual meet and greet with the foster and the little one. After that, we will make arrangements to have the pet flown to the Seattle area at no expense to adopter. The process of arranging the travel and getting the animal here, on average, takes 2-4 weeks, depending on availability of the transporters and your availability to meet them. We understand this process is not as easy as walking into a shelter and immediately adopting a pet, but getting animals out of Houston and the surrounding areas is the only viable chance many of them have, so we appreciate your understanding. We do not accept ANY adoption fees ahead of the pet's arrival, until the pet is with you. We also understand adopting a pet you have not seen in person can be a bit worrisome, especially if other animals are involved. During the adoption process we do our best to convey the personality and allowances of each pet. This is where the foster's involvement is vital. The fosters have the animals often for an extended period of time, and have gotten to know them well. In saying that, not everything is predictable. If things are not what you expect, we have resources on the Seattle side to take the animal back. If possible, we would appreciate, if the situation allows, for you to foster the pet until a new home is found. If that is not possible, we also understand that, and will take them back regardless.
Daxton has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered. He will be examined by a vet and issued a Health Certificate before he heads to the great city of Seattle!
His adoption fee is 195.00.
