My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, shy Camila was rescued from the streets after having multiple litters of kittens. She bonded very strongly with her previous owner and lived happily as her companion for the last couple years but sadly her owner and BFF passed away and now she needs a new furever home.

Camila is very sweet and snuggly but can be shy at first with new people and places. Her ideal home would be quiet and calm with just 1 or 2 people to dote on her. She would also love some type of catio so she can still experience some sun and outdoor fresh air but safely.

Camila can coexist with other kitties but really she's not a fan and would most likely be happiest as the only kitty getting all of your undivided attention, though she has been around a very cat friendly dog with no issues. Still she may be happiest as Queen of the Castle, the only pet in the household.

Camila is a little sad and doesn't understand all the changes and why her human has not returned. Can you give her another chance in a furever home? She will blossom again in the right home with patient adopters.

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
