My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Otis! You may have already seen him on our pages, as this guy really grabbed our attention earlier this year when an ill-fated play session with a frisbee led to weeks of critical medical care. Yep, he ate the teeniest piece of the toy, and well, everything went wrong after that.

But not to worry: Otis has fully recovered. He will not have any long-term effects from this ordeal, other than a very strict no-frisbee-eating rule. Otis is now finally ready to leave our prison program and head off to home life. He graduated from the EPIC Program with flying colors -- such a smart cookie, this one.

Otis loves training. Like, he really, really loves it. Learning is his jam, and we're hopeful that his future family will keep it up. We will review all of his known skills with potential adopters and provide documents to support his continuing education journey.

We think Otis's ideal home is a nice mix of active and low key. He likes to play and be outside, but he's also a fantastic cuddler. Otis bonds really closely to his human friends and is so affectionate and playful. He's made a couple dog friends, but he's a bit pickier about those -- really needs someone who meshes well with his play style. In his last home, Otis lived with kids and did pretty well. He loves those small humans.

Now almost 2 years old, fully housetrained, and with a bunch of skills to show off, Otis is ready to get adopted. Will he be yours?
