My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Belle Star!  This sweet little Red Heeler mix female puppy came into foster from a small town shelter. Her momma was a Red Heeler and dad is unknown. This little bundle of joy is inquisitive and very smart like all the Heelers are known to be.  Belle was born around the end of May and is currently just 9 weeks old as of 7/29. She is expected to be an average weight of around 40 pounds if she keeps growing at the rate she is now.  Currently she is only 7 pounds at the 9 weeks mark.  She will most likely have the build that is typical of the Heeler breed and we are expecting her ears to slowly start pointing upward like her Mom’s. When talking about her personality we can safely say that Belle Star is super sweet and enjoys attention. She is very playful and confident and has been great around other dogs, cats, and loves every person she meets. Her foster mom is a huge Heeler fan and has had several over the years and has one NOW.  Being a Heeler, she will do best with a family that can keep her busy and perhaps has a fenced yard for safety to run to her heart’s content.  She is a little cutie and is going to be a great dog for a lucky family. With the hot summer heat she has proven herself to be a fan of the kiddie pool and she truly loves to lounge for quite a while…of course with her sun screen on for safety.  She is ready for a new home NOW.  If you are interested, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
