Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I'm Chop, a 1 year old Abyssinian male guinea pig who was surrendered by my family after I was purchased but misgendered and needed to be separated from my female companions. I am now bonded with my buddy, Felix and we must be adopted together. My favorite time of day is feeding time- I just get so excited and popcorn around the cage. If you are interested in being by forever family, please see the information below.
To adopt, go to the "ADOPTION" tab on our website www.ogpr.org and complete the REQUIRED 4 steps.
We ask for a minimum donation of $50 per guinea pig made to the rescue. One free wellness check at our specified vet is included with each adopted guinea pig.

The Oakhurst Guinea Pig Rescue is based out of Decatur, Georgia. We are a foster based rescue so we DO NOT have a brick and mortar building. All of our guinea pigs live in foster homes and once your application is accepted, we will schedule a meet and greet appointment for you to meet and adopt a pair of guinea pigs or a single guinea pig ONLY if you have a single guinea pig that needs a buddy. GUINEA PIGS SHOULD NOT LIVE ALONE BUT IN PAIRS OR MORE.
