My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gorgeous Rosie girl was adopted from the shelter, but sadly returned due to the adopter’s allergies. She was then put on the urgent list at only 8 months old. Luckily, Rosie was intercepted by her foster & CFR just hours away from being euthanized.

She’s currently soaking up all the love in her foster home, but definitely deserves the stability of a forever home. Rosie loves playing fetch, splashing in the water, hugs, and belly rubs. Like many young dogs she can be energetic and a little feisty, but she also settles down easily and will lay next to you while watching a movie or working from home. She does fine in a crate and just takes a few minutes to remember that she’s not being left for long.

She’s also a fast learner and knows “sit”, "stay", and “shake". Rosie walks well on a leash and also does well with redirection… listening to “get down”, "no", and "leave it". She can get a little jumpy and excited with her play and would do best in a home as the only pet or with another dog her size and older kids. She’s not a big barker and seems to love everyone she encounters. But she’s also curious and can get a little chatty & alert with the unfamiliar, so she may need to be approached slowly and needs slow introduction to other dogs.

Rosie would love an active family or backyard with room to play fetch, run around, and sniff all the things. She’s going to be a very sweet & loyal companion to a lucky person or family! She arrived fully vetted and is with a foster. She is a beautiful tan girl with ears that stand straight up.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................
