Mia is approxixmately 2-3 years old, and you can see how obese this poor little one was. She could barely move when rescued, and weighed in at 33lbs!!! Couldn't stand for long periods of time, go on walks or even go outside on her own. Fast forward 4 months and she has lost over 7lbs, a great start!! The pictures will show you then and now... Now she can walk on her own, go outside down the ramp on her own, she even "happy dances" when you get home. Mia for the first time in a very long time can play with toys, and can show affection with the cutest little tail wags. Losing a large amount of weight is a long journey for a dog, and we are looking for a family that will be committed to continuing her healthy diet. No table scraps, no human food. At this time, most likely due to her weight, Mia is on a very inexpensive thyroid medication. She takes it easily. Great with other dogs, cats and respectful children. Honestly, Mia is an easy girl, who is longing for the forever family she deserves. If you are interested in Mia please fill out our adoption application at the link below.
