Mai is five years old, and she's a fairly independent, curious, and energetic indoor cat.
I adopted her from a rescue in January 2021 and love her dearly. However, I am currently living in a very small studio apartment, and she has been displaying progressively more anxious and territorial behavior since I moved last year. Multiple different methods of addressing this behavior haven't helped, and on top of that my work schedule has been getting busier to the point where I feel I can't give her enough attention. If possible, I'd like to rehome her to an experienced cat owner who lives in a larger space and can give her a solid routine.
She is an "only cat" - she's not good with other cats, dogs, or children. She takes a while to warm up to humans and tends to show affection mostly through coexisting with you, but occasionally she'll get cuddly!
