Hi, I’m Joy. I was just three weeks old when I was found in the grass along a sidewalk of a busy street. I was in critical condition and went to the vet soon after arriving at SBACC. I was infested with fleas, was anemic and dehydrated, and had an eye infection and a URI. I went to a foster home where I was nursed back to health. I was very scared at first, but I came to love my foster Mom. I’m shy around people I don’t know, but I was a friendly girl with my foster mom, and I loved to take naps on her lap. My foster Mom called me a sweetheart, and given time and patience, she says I will make a wonderful lap kitty. Shortly after I was ready for my forever home, I came down with ringworm, and it took months before it was gone. So now I’m a teenager rather than a kitten. I get along fine with my roommates, but I often play by myself rather than with them, so I would probably do fine as an only kitty. However, I wouldn’t mind going home with another teen or young cat or going to a home that already has one.
