Hello from Remi, she hopes you`ll stop by to meet her. She`s just arrived in early August after spending some time with a finder who had plenty of good words to share for her;

~ She is very sweet and easy to handle
~ Goofy and cute with her toys. She carries them around in her mouth all day and then pass out on her bed. Likes tug-o-war and squeaky toys
~ She snores and it’s adorable.
~ She doesn’t get on the furniture unless invited.
~ Velcro dog to the max, loves to stick close to the people she lives with.
~ Does little happy jumps when it’s time for a walk.
~ Lower energy
~ Allows bathing & nail clips
~ Has done well with older children but didn`t live with any
~ Enjoys have a crate to retreat occasionally

Dislikes are small animals including the felines - sorry cats!

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day!
For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites.
For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.

Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older

The Austin Animal Center is open for adoptions every day from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please note, Adoption and Pet Resource Center lines close at 6:00 p.m. We're closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Thanksgiving Day to give our staff some time with family.
Interested adopters should come to the shelter during business hours to meet with a counselor start looking for a pet who'll be a good fit. Our counselors and volunteers are happy to help with that process.
