Caesar is a bright and sweet boy of about 2 years old that is hoping to get right back into a great home. Caesar is a lab mix that was turned in, along with his brother, when their family moved and couldn't take them along. Caesar and his brother didn't always get along. Caesar doesn't seem to be a huge fan of other dogs but he did live with cats and kids, and is fine with them according to his former family! Caesar isn't enjoying shelter life but once he gets away from the kennel, he relaxes and is so affectionate, and he bonds with people quickly. He stands on his hind legs and gently leans on you to get all of your attention, and you're his new best friend within seconds. Caesar is great on a leash, housebroken, he sits when asked and takes treats gently, and doesn't have a ton of interest in toys. Caesar is a little guy of just 36 lbs. that would fit perfectly into your home, wouldn't he? Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#74513 7/28/24

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
