My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Dunkin. There's not much known about my history. I came to P4P as a pregnant mama and all my babies got adopted.
I take some time to warm up and trust people.
I need to start slow in a small space where I can work my way out at my pace.
Once I start to feel safe, I do really enjoy pets.
I will head butt your hand if you hold it out and will lay near you. I'm not quite a cuddle bug at my foster house yet, but I have worked up the trust to now be in the living room most of the time.
I love sitting on the cat tree by the window and at night, watching the hamster run around in his pen.

But, I really love my foster sister, Mouse. Mouse and I will cuddle on the couch and lay on the cat tree. We run and play and just have the best friendship!!!

Please give me your love and patience and I swear, I'll be a great pet!

More about this rescue

Partners for Pets is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue located in Troy, IL. Since our opening in 2003, Partners for Pets has rescued and re-homed over 21,000 cats and dogs, who would have otherwise been euthanized in local area animal control facilities. Partners for Pets works diligently to help local area animal control facilities reach no-kill status by opening our doors to the neglected, sick, weak, and injured. No matter their chances of survival, we do everything in our power to give these animals a second chance at life-a life that is full of the love, care, and compassion that they were lacking before.
