My name is Gordie and I didn't come from the best situation. I was very malnourished and still need some extra groceries to be at my ideal weight. As a result I can have somewhat of some food resource guarding with my meals. It would be best to work on this with me but to also feed me separately. With those extra nutrients my coat will be gorgeous in no time!
I'm only around 10 months of age, so still very much a youngster yet. With my start in this life I'm sure looking forward to a fresh start with a family that will love me and make me feel safe. I'm looking forward to just being able to be a pup and enjoy all there is in this big ole world.
I do get along great with people but with my past, would probably do best in a home without children or with older kiddos. I also do good with other pups and would make a pawsome playmate for a 'sibling'.
I'm a sweet boy with a heart of gold who would love to find my forever home. Could it be YOURS?!!

Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

(2) Rescue, retrain and rehome slaughter bound, abused, or neglected horses
(3) educate the public on proper horse care and husbandry
(4) offer assistance to equine owners in times of natural or personal disaster
(5) rehabilitate neglected and abused equines
(6) accept donations of rehomeable equines for adoption and placement
(7) adopt equines into thoroughly vetted homes
