Hello, I’m ELMO!

My foster family gave me the name, Elmo, because I’m little, spunky, and super cute (I’m not red, though…I’m a brown tiger)!!! I’m also special because I have Wobbly Cat Syndrome, also known as cerebellar hypoplasia. This will not affect my ability to be like a regular kitten/cat, (please view the video posted on my profile), and it will not progress or need any extra veterinary care. I am still a vibrant, lovable purr baby and always will be. Here is a link to information about CH:

About 2 weeks ago, I magically appeared in a guardian angel’s garden, squawking loudly because I was so hungry (no signs of any mom or siblings). I was tiny, dirty, and famished. My guardian angel fed me, bathed me, fed me, and fed me some more. I love her so much because she loved me, cuddled me, and made me so comfortable. In the 10 days I was in her care, I gained enough weight to be able to be transferred to a Safe Cat Foundation foster mom. Since then, I have been dewormed, vaccinated, and neutered, and now I am searching for my perfect forever family.

I am adorable, cuddly, curious, daring, and the perfect kitten. I am also 100% litter box trained. I get along with people, cats, and dogs. I love to explore around the house, play with my toys (especially a special rainbow-colored wand), wrestle with human hands, and when I settle down, I love to snuggle.

Safe Cat Foundation, a California based non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation, was formed to address the safety issues of domestic cats in our local animal shelters and in our society. We provide education and advocacy for various health and safety issues that affect cats in the home, wild or shelter. Safe Cat Foundation also provides rescue for cats abandoned at county animal shelters through fostering, providing medical care, spay and neuter services and adoption programs.
