My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Blueberry!

This cuddly kitten recently came to AFRP from Hitchcock Road Animal Services where he wasn't fairing well in the shelter environment. Now in loving foster home, Blueberry is ready to find his picture purr-fect family!

Blueberry can be shy upon initial meeting, but once he warms up he's the ultimate cuddle-bug! His foster shares that he is the most cuddly, sweet baby. He loves making biscuits, has non-stop loud purrs, lays on your lap to nap, cuddles with you every morning, gives morning kisses (he likes to lick your face!). Churus and wand toys are the keys to winning Blueberry's heart! He also loves soft silicon brushes!

Due to his shy nature, adult adopters or families with cat-savvy children over the age of 15 would be ideal for Blueberry. It's important to understand he may take some time to warm up to his new family, Blueberry will need to be given space and time to grow comfortable, and adopters must allow him the opportunity to decompress at his speed. Blueberry would love to find a home with another confident cat to keep him company. At this time, it is unknown how Blueberry would do with dogs in the home but may do fine with a cat-savvy dog. All introductions should be slow, and over a stretch of time to ensure positive socialization.

Blueberry is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
