Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Candy, a delightful five-year-old, 35 lb. Golden Retriever/Corgi mix with a heart as sweet as her name! This charming girl was found as a stray, but it's clear she was once owned, as she was already spayed. Although her past may not have been great—being that she has chronic inflammatory disease likely caused by inhaling toxins—Candy remains the epitome of resilience and joy.
Her sunny disposition makes her a joy to be around! Candy is a true outdoor enthusiast, thriving on walks around the neighborhood, exploring the yard, or simply enjoying the fresh air by your side. While she’s easygoing and has a low energy level, she lights up at the prospect of an outing or a car ride. Candy gets along wonderfully with kids, other dogs of all sizes, and even cats. She seems to really love children and has even started playing soccer with them, which is absolutely adorable to watch! With her loving nature and adaptable personality, she is sure to bring warmth and happiness to any home.
Candy is also slowly discovering the pleasures of home life. She’s learning to love her toys, enjoys the comfort of her dog bed, and has quickly adapted to crate and house training. She’s still unsure about some things, like the TV, but she’s adjusting well. Whether she’s cuddling up next to you or enjoying a bit of personal space, Candy is affectionate and flexible.
She will make a wonderful family dog and would especially enjoy having a fenced yard to explore and play in. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s ready to embrace a new chapter filled with lots of love, Candy is your girl!
Her adoption fee is $400 and she is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. If you are interested in this cutie, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.
