My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello my name is Tolee. You can pronounce it like Toe Lee. It is from a cartoon my foster sister loved when she was tiny like me. I need to be adopted with my best friend and brother Rintoo. I will do much better adjusting to my forever home with him. I was a little older when I was rescued from an auto body shop where my mama cat took good care of us. But since I was older people can make me nervous. I have made great progress and like to crawl up my foster mom when she holds me to get close to her neck. It makes me feel safe and then I can share my purrs. When I am feeling comfortable I love to play with my brother and zoom around the house and wrestle. I love toys of all kinds and other cats and dogs do not bother me. I may hiss still but I am working on being brave. I need a forever home that will give me patience and lots of love. I would do best in a home with moms or dads or older kids that can spend lots of time with me. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
