Hi there! My name’s Billabong, and I’m a dog looking for a special family to call my own. I might not seem like the most outgoing pup at first, but once you get to know me, I promise you’ll see that I’ve got a whole lot of love to give. I am originally from Alabama where I was found running down the street, a stray with no family or home. A nice older couple stopped and called to me. I wasn’t sure about them at first, but I jumped in the back of their car and they took me to a shelter. I’m not exactly sure what happened to me when I was a pup, but I’m a bit shy around humans. Sometimes I feel a little nervous, but don’t worry—I’m not a grumpy dog! I just need time to feel safe and comfortable with new people. Once I trust you, I’ll show you just how sweet I really am. And when that happens, I’ll be the best companion you could ask for. But let’s talk about the fun stuff—fetch! Oh man, I love fetch. There’s just something about that ball flying through the air and me being the one to chase after it. It makes me feel fabulous and free. I could chase that thing all day, and I know you’ll love watching me zoom around, tail wagging like crazy. And don’t even get me started on walks! I love to explore the world around me, whether it's sniffing new scents or taking in all the sights. Sometimes, I can be a little hesitant around unfamiliar places, but I’m always up for an adventure with a little encouragement. But my favorite part? Snuggling. There’s nothing like curling up next to someone and feeling their warmth. I’m not shy about that—when I’m ready, I’ll cuddle up and just enjoy being close. You might even catch me snuggling with my bone, too, as I chew away happily. Speaking of bones, I really enjoy chewing on them. It helps me relax, and it keeps me busy. If you get me a good chew toy, I’ll be content for a while, and I’ll be a much happier pup, too. Oh, and I absolutely love other dogs! They’re my friends, and I’m always excited to meet new four-legged pals. I’m playful and friendly with them, and I think having another dog in the family would make me feel even more at home. If you’re someone who can give me the time and patience to warm up to you, I know I’ll be the best dog I can be. I just want to find my forever home—someone who will love me for who I am, quirks and all. If that sounds like you, I can’t wait to meet you. I promise you won’t regret bringing me into your life!
-------------------------------------------- All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”
Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
