My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paul here, nice to meet you!

I am a 1 year old 9 lb chi mix who was recently found at a shelter, abandoned with no family to call my own. I quickly realized that I never had a chance to feel love like most dogs my age feel. I am ready for that to change! Since I have gotten a taste of what family feels like I never want to go back to that shelter or my previous life! I know I’ll be the best companion you’ll ever ask for!

It’s been a little hard for me to let go of my past but every single day I’m doing so much better! My foster mom says she absolutely adores my personality and I’m the sweetest little boy! Those sound like good things to me! Even though I can still be a little shy around new people I know once I warm up I’ll be your best friend. And when I really feel comfortable and I know you are really nice I will give you gentle kisses and cuddles! I crave love and attention from a human, I’m just not quite sure how to get it yet due to being so under socialized. I promise the shy dogs are the best and most loyal pups and I won’t disappoint!

As for other dogs, I have met a lot and I will say Im doing well with them all! At first I was a little nervous of the really big dogs, but now one of my best friends is a big shepherd! With proper introductions I feel like I will be just fine! I enjoy playing and would love to have a fur sibling in the house! Big or small, even a cat! I’ve learned to enjoy my feline friends company!

In the house I have been learning how to be good in the crate and I feel like I am really exceling at that. I like having a safe space! I have also gotten the hang of using the bathroom outside and I walk myself out the doggy door. I am confident that in my new home if you show me what the bathroom routine is I will master it in no time at all.

I am ready to find my forever home after not feeling like I have had a home in my year life. If you think you can give me the home I have always dreamed of please fill out an application today! I will be neutered and caught up to date with vaccines. I will also get my health certificate!
