Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little girl was rescued from the recent flood at St. Clair County Animal Control. Pumpkin is very shy and timid. She needs a family who can give her the reassurance she needs to blossom. Pumpkin loves playing with dogs. Please consider her if you have the love in your heart to help her become the confident dog she can become.
Pumpkin is one year old and weighs 51 pounds.
The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member. helpingstrays.org

We welcome you to stop by our facility located at 4221 Hanover Road in Columbia, IL.
We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.
Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.
Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
