My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pilot: Your Future Best Friend!

Pilot is a sweet and cuddly black lab/cattle dog mix, around 6-7 months old. This brave little guy was found abandoned at a Walmart in the extreme heat of summer, showing signs of neglect and fear. But since being rescued, he has flourished in his foster home and is ready to find his forever family.

Pilot loves lounging on the pool steps, soaking up snuggles, and playing with his foster sister Kleo, who has taught him how to play and trust people. While he may be a bit shy when meeting new folks, he warms up quickly and will show you his sweet, fun-loving nature in no time.

Pilot gets along great with other dogs, cats, birds, and even reptiles! He’s crate trained, leash trained, and potty trained via a dog door. He’ll benefit from basic training classes, but his loving personality and eagerness to please will make him a wonderful companion.

If you’re looking for the sweetest and cuddliest dog, Pilot is your guy. Give him a little time to adjust, and he’ll fill your life with love and joy.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

At Valley Dogs we make every effort to place the right animal in the right home. To aid in this goal, we use trained Adoption Consultants to help you select the best match for your lifestyle. You will meet with an Adoption Consultant and discuss your lifestyle, activity level, expectations, likes/dislikes, and past experiences with animals. Your consultant will then recommend the best match for your family and your lifestyle.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do not own a kennel / shelter type facility. In most cases, we believe one of the effective and successful ways to match families and pets is to foster them in our own homes. Fostering dogs allows us to help train the dogs to have good doggie manners and allows us to learn about the dog's personality and character. Ultimately allowing us to give potential adopters complete information on the pet's behavior and how well he / she will fit with a family and lifestyle. Unfortunately, when we are not able to find the most appropriate foster home, we will on occasion utilize a private kennel on a case by case basis.
