Meet Mya: Your Sweet and Sassy Companion!

Mya is a delightful dog with a heart full of love! She recently showed her friendly side when interacting with a medium-sized dog through a fence—no aggression, just curiosity! This easygoing nature makes her a wonderful candidate for a family or single dog owner.

In the car, Mya shines, making every trip an enjoyable experience. On the leash, she has good manners with minimal pulling, so walks are a breeze.

One thing to note about Mya: she prefers to keep her paws on the ground and isn’t a fan of being picked up. But with her charming personality and playful spirit, you’ll quickly fall in love with her just the way she is!

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Tuesday - Saturday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
