If this guy happens to appear regal or dignified in any of his photos...it’s a lie! This guy is truly some silly crazy fun. He has a large personality and isn’t afraid to show it. His name is Banner, but maybe it should be Class Clown or Heckeljeckel.

Banner was raised in a home in Sonora and his owners described him as a happy-go-lucky lab with lots of energy and a passion for playing fetch. “Just a tiny glimpse of a toy and he can barely think of anything else!” Unfortunately, due to a new baby and some health matters, they decided they couldn’t give him the attention and care he deserved. Well, they had us at: “Just a tiny glimpse of a toy and he can barely think of anything else!” We brought him in and fell in love, but his x-rays showed some joint irregularities, and because of the high impact nature of the work we train our dogs for, we released him from our urban search and rescue training.

The floor is now yours, Banner: What? OMG! It’s my turn? How fun!! What do you want to do? What games do you want to play? What do you want to give me to eat? What kind of ball is that? Did you want to pet me? Did you see what I just did? Am I funny or what? Hey, how about that walk? Do you want to play now? I think I love you!

As you can imagine, a robust sense of humor is mandatory with this guy. He loves life and will love you too! He is a sweet and goofy wild child who will only get better and better and better with time, attention and care. He has the potential to be not just your best friend, but everyone’s!
