My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Banjo! I'm a big bundle of joy, always ready to play and have fun. My days are filled with tail wags and laughter. I love to play fetch, but sometimes I get so excited I forget to bring the ball back! I'm a cuddly fellow, too. There's nothing better than curling up next to a friend after a day of fun. I'm known for my goofy antics, which always seem to make people smile. I'm energetic and friendly, so I'm always ready for a new adventure. But most of all, I'm looking for a forever home. I've got so much love to give and I can't wait to share it with a family who will love me back. So, why should you adopt me? Because every day with me will be filled with laughter, love, and lots of play. I promise to be your loyal companion and bring joy to your life. Let's create a lifetime of memories together!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
