My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Gerald is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee!**

Age: adult

Gerald is a corn snake found chilling in a basement. Gerald's temporary basement accommodations had no access to UVB lighting or heat so Gerald knew he didn't want to live there permanently. Gerald has engaged the services of Calgary Humane to seek a new home for him, one with a spacious terrarium, a comfy basking area, cozy hides and plenty of enrichment like branches and rocks to climb and explore. If you'd like to offer the Gerald the accommodations he is seeking, reach out to Calgary Humane today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
