My name is Ruby!

Ruby is a special kitty who has overcome a challenging past. She is gradually gaining confidence and venturing out of her safe space, exploring the first floor of her new home. She has formed a bond with the resident cats and other foster cats, but she tends to retreat to her box when they get too close. 

In her box, Ruby is a sweetheart who enjoys gentle back scratches and occasional full-body pets. She is slowly warming up to the idea of being held, realizing that humans can be trusted and are not a threat to her. It's heartwarming to see her blossoming and becoming more comfortable in her own skin.

While Ruby is still getting used to dogs, she doesn't run away from them and shows potential for building positive relationships with them. However, it's important to introduce her to dogs who are calm and respectful, rather than those who are overly energetic or in her face.

Due to her timid nature, Ruby would thrive in a quiet and calm household without small children. She also needs the company of another cat (s) as she is learning that play is fun & even if just watching, she enjoys it. She needs someone who understands her need for patience and offers her lots of love and reassurance. Ruby's unique polydactyl paws only add to her charm and make her even more adorable!
