My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Josh's captivating eyes are a show stealer. They are a great match to his beautiful soul. He is a super smart guy who knows sit and paw, and has the big brain to learn more. Josh has been a great walker on leashes as well!
Josh is a resilient and loving dog who recently returned to Orphans after nearly a year away. Picked up by animal control, Josh came back to us severely overweight, making it clear that walking was painful for him. Despite the extra pounds, he is still the happy and affectionate boy we know and love.
Here at Orphans, we are committed to helping Josh on his weight loss journey, ensuring he gets back to a healthy and safe weight. Josh is looking for a forever family who will support him through this journey and provide him with the love and care he deserves.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
