Chopper is a 2-ish year old blue heeler mix. Chopper was a community dog on the reservation, and was rescued after he had an encounter with a porcupine and needed medical attention. He has had quills removed twice, and deeply embedded quills are expected to continue to surface for several more months. Chopper is a sweet energetic boy that loves attention and cuddles. He thinks everyone is his best friend, and he has enthusiastic body wiggles when he wags his tail. He is crate trained and house trained. Chopper does sometimes pee when approached, but has been making great progress when approached gently. He loves to play and wrestle with his dog friends, and also loves a good cuddle on the couch. He loves to jump around and try to do aerial acrobatics when his meals are being brought to him. As Chopper is still new to being a pet, he will need an adopter that will be patient while working on general skills, such as basic obedience, learning to walk on a leash, and how to ride in a car. Chopper is a wonderful dog with a huge personality, and with the right training will be an amazing companion.
