My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Third Coast Pets Alive!

She and her 4 siblings we rescued from an animal lover's backyard, and made it into the rescue. They are without doubt, the most affectionate, snuggly litter I've ever fostered (and I've fostered over 100 kittens at this point). They will all take turns climbing up onto the desk while I'm studying to gently ask for affection by rubbing on my arms with their head or body. If you pick them up or touch them in any way, they immediately start purring.

The perfect mix of affectionate but not needy, confident but not obnoxious, respectful but not shy, playful but snuggly, social but independent. They are well socialized with other cats and dogs.

You may notice that miss Sapphire has an odd look to her right eye. That is due to her whole litter being exposed to a virus when they were very young, still living on the streets. It caused this permanent change to the surface of her eye, but it is completely healed. She has no vision issues and requires no medication for this. It will forever be something unique about her!

She would do well in just about any home; only pet or with friends; a few quiet humans or a family with kids (as long as they're respectful). She's just a beautiful, sweet, snuggly girl.

Additional adoption info

We are open adoptions, but do interview people and have a contract that does not allow for declawing of our animals.

Go meet their pets

We do meet and greets at the Conroe Animal Shelter and in October, will start doing adoption events at Petco and Pet Supplies Plus. Right now, Facebook is our best outlet...but we are using RescueGroups.Org and they will add uploading to your site for us too.

More about this rescue

We are a new 501c3 not for profit. We all used to work with a larger group before that lost its way (as far as we were concerned)... forgot the reason we do this. We are fresh and re-dedicated to helping our local shelters and especially the public. We will also assist with owned animals to keep them in the home... to not have them go into the shelter. We want to support the community in both ways.
