My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bronson was brought in by a community member.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Bronson is now ready for his new home!

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Bronson! This big, goofy guy is always ready for adventures and loves to go outside for walks & playtime - especially when water hoses are involved! He also loves petting, cuddles, and treats. Bronson likes his routines and that is good. He understands the relationship between good behaviors and treats, so he works extra hard to be a good boy in the hopes of earning a snack. He has an affinity for extra large comforters so he can stretch out and take a good long nap after playtime. He often does silly dog bows after he returns from playtime and before nap time. They are very cute and we bow back.

Bronson will thrive as the only pet in a home and is a great match for someone seeking a dog that is equal parts play and couch potato. Does that sound like your kind of companion dog? If so, come meet Bronson at our San Diego campus today! 🐾

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
