My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the dog, the myth, the legend: Jelly Roll - The French Bulldog You Didn’t Know You Needed! Jelly Roll is approximately 6 years old. He was pulled straight out of Riverside County shelter’s euthanasia/red list just in time. And trust us, this wrinkly little dude is one-of-a-kind. Jelly Roll had a hard life before coming into our rescue, but we are dedicated to improving his life and finding him the best home possible!

Troubled with severe skin issues and severely patchy fur, he looked like a walking croissant. But after 24 hours, a huge bucket of blueberries, and a LOT of TLC, he’s now his foster mom’s permanent shadow. He goes camping, sits by the pool and is doing an amazing job at being the ultimate partner in crime.

Jelly Roll is all about style. His personal grooming routine involves baths every 4-5 days (because fabulousness doesn’t happen on its own), allergy meds, fish kibble, and raw fish—basically, he’s living the seafood diet dream. And though his vision’s not perfect, Jelly Roll always knows where the good stuff (read: treats) is. A little extra maintenance on his skin is all this guy needs to succeed.

Obsessed with his toy, this guy’s never without it. Crate? Toy’s there. Backyard business? Toy in tow. He takes it everywhere! Jelly Roll even accompanies his foster mom to thrift shops, where he picks out his own goodies.

Though mostly potty trained (unless he’s left in his crate a little too long), Jelly Roll prefers to get his business done outside quickly—bark, and boom, he’s back at the door ready to chill with you indoors. Jelly Roll is fiercely independent and loves doing his own thing. Sure, he comes with a maintenance package (hey, don’t we all?), but he’s basically a low-key, lovable weirdo looking for his forever home. He trots along for walks and stops to look back at you with his little crooked head. He does great on a leash, in the car and in a crate. He is friends to dogs cats and children, and he considers himself to be the ultimate ladies man. Because of his history of abuse, Jelly Roll often prefers to be in the company of ladies and would do best in a home with a Mom around. He can tolerate men after some time and MANY treats, but his trust has to be built slowly.

If you think you can handle a tiny Frenchie who acts like royalty, always demands a seat in the car, and enjoys a life of luxury and treats, Jelly Roll is waiting for YOU. This handsome guy is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and waiting for your application. Located in New River, AZ adoption donation fee $950.00
