Meet Betsy! She is a remarkable 2 year old, 12 pound Bichon Frise who has triumphed over a challenging past in a puppy mill.

Betsy's journey has been one of strength and resilience and she is now seeking a loving forever family where she can finally experience the warmth and care that she deserves!

In her foster home Betsy is discovering the simple pleasures of life that she has missed out on for to long. Betsy journey to healing is ongoing and she is ready to continue it with a family willing to provide her with the security and love that she deserves. She is crate trained and low-energy, and though she takes time to warm up to her humans, does do well with other dogs!

Betsy's past doesn't define her. Her future, filled with love and care , is what truly matters. Betsy is being fostered in Port Reading, NJ. Her adoption fee is $600.

Betsy is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
