In foster in Tumwater, WA

HICKORY wonderful puppy, approx 5 mo old puppy, DOB 2/8/24 estimate by vet). He is affectionate, fun, adorable, and intelligent. He is smart; eager to please and a fast learner. He is food motivated but also people oriented, making him a great dog to train. He learned the sit command in record time! He is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is housetrained if taken out at regular intervals. He loves car rides, walks, playing with his foster dog brother and allll the toys. He loves his play time but also has many calm periods throughout the day as well. His beautiful brindle coat is soft and low maintenance. Hickory is all around a fantastic puppy and will grow into an amazing companion. You couldn’t ask for a better dog!

He is expected to get up to about 50-55# when grown. These pups were found in a water culvert after a good rain. The lady that found them had her hands full with so many pups. They were in great need for all the medical… deworming, de-fleeing, and de-ticking. Of course, we also did the vaccinations. It took about a week of good food and they were looking 100% better…running and playing and barking at the top of their lungs. It was such a wonderful sound. They love to play with toys and people. They will make such great family dogs.

Adoptions include neuter/spay, 4 vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period."

After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.

All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.

HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters.
