My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gertie doesn’t know you yet, but she likes you! Gertie is retired and looking for a great place to nap with people who know hounds and will give hugs! Her previous owner says she is spayed. She is getting much better with her leash and gives to its pressure.

Things to consider: Gertie is a hound. She will lend chase to critters that run. Watch her with chickens and cats! Gertie loves to speak her mind but settles down immediately with love. Check out our Rumble page: LeroysRanchHands www.leroysranchhands.com

More about this shelter

Our business supports Agriculture by cooperating with the Ranch and Sheep Dog Trial communities to acquire working border collies no longer able to perform duties due to:
Injury
Temperament
Age
We are a ranch dog rescue that builds the bridge between the dogs’ working background and their new urban lifestyles. We are very selective and accept only dogs whose temperament, age, or medical condition prohibits them from meeting the standard required for ranch and sheep dog trial work.
We then take the greatest care in matching these dogs with people with close to the same temperament.
