Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Bliss! Bliss is about 4 years old, 77 lbs (needs to lose weight), and she may have some Lab and Shepherd in her mix! She was confiscated after being chained outside with no shade/ shelter or clean water. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house-training, crate-training and leash-walking. She could live with other dogs, cats, and kids 5+.
Her foster says, "Bliss is true to her name! She is calm, sweet, playful, affectionate and loving girl. She would love nothing more than to have a comfy couch with a human to pet her. She loves everyone and everything! She is quiet but will let you know with her soft voice if she needs anything and once she has whatever it was she was asking for, she settles right back down. Leash walking is her new favorite thing, but she is still learning not to pull too much, but she is super smart and will master it in no time! She knows many obedience commands already, so she would be a perfect candidate for advanced training and / or trick classes. Going somewhere?? She is all in for a car ride adventure!! She will hop right in the back seat and wait for you to clip her into her seatbelt and off you go! She does have a hard time sharing her food with other dogs, so separate feeding would be best. Aside from the food, Bliss loves other dogs. She loves to play wrestling, a little bit of chase and doesn't mind a pack walk then a dog pile of cuddles. Her former owner said she was also good with cat friends (although I did not test that out). She will make an awesome addition to anyone lucky enough to get to adopt her."
She is available for adoption in Dartmouth by appointment with an approved adopter. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.
-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
