Dixie is one of the 6 Camp kitties. Her mom was feral but trusting and let a kind woman bring her inside to have her kittens. Dixie is a petite beauty and a flurry of energy. This girl may be small but she holds her own with her siblings. She is the mother hen of the group, always checking on her sibling’s ears and face for any lack of missed cleaning. Dixie often gives them the once over just to ensure they are up to her standard of cleanliness. She loves jumping and playing with toys. She uses the advantage of being small and will climb over her siblings to get the first treat. One of the first to come for pets and stays for as long as you will pet her. She shows her appreciation with loud purrs of happiness. Her personality continues to grow and she knows what she wants and will let you know! This girl likes to be the center of attention but would probably do best with a chill cat buddy to show her the ropes. She is an adorable cutie pie.Would be fine as an only cat or with a cat buddy after proper introduction. Her estimated birth date is February 22. 2024. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only.

All applications are submitted to an adoption board for approval to ensure a happy forever home for both owner and pet. In effort to reduce the possibility of the pet being returned, adopters are carefully screened to be sure that the personality of both the pet and adopter are a good match. We will be in contact with you during this process.

Puppies are ready to go home after their 2nd of 3 shots and spay/neuter are complete. A $50 deposit will hold the puppy of your choice. The 3rd. shot is included in the adoption fee.

All pets are to be kept as indoor, non-working, members of your family and are spayed and neutered before being adopted. These pets also receive all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped.

A safe pet home visit is included in the adoption fee.

Take Me Home Pet Rescue is a 100% nonprofit organization committed to reducing the homeless pet population by removing dogs and cats from shelters and other unfortunate situations and having them spayed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted to their forever families.

We consists of a small core group of volunteers who care about the welfare of our homeless pets. We are located in Richardson, Texas and survive solely from your generous donations and fundraiser's (after fundraiser...after fundraiser!). All of our pets live in our homes as we do not have an actual facility. Because they live within the dynamics of the foster families and are exposed to children of all ages and other pets, we find that that our foster cats and dogs are more adoptable as they have already been socialized to live in a family environment.

We have been in existence since April 2008 and have already rescued over 600 dogs and cats from local kill shelters and other unfortunate situations.

All dogs and cats are spayed and neutered before being adopted. These pets also receive all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped. In effort to reduce the possibility of the pet being returned, adopters are carefully screened to be sure that the personality of both the pet and adopter are a good match.
