My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Macho Man is a super sweet boy who has had a rough life. Living outside his whole life, Macho has had to defend himself from territorial feral cats. He can be a bit skittish and scared of certain movements, so taking things slowly with him is really important. He's a really sweet cat and just wants pets and rubs, and is slowly learning the ways of being a house cat.

Macho Man is currently taking gabapentin to help relax him and get used to life indoors. It's a powder capsule that we mix with his churu, and he's been really good at taking it and not complaining!

Macho Man is also FIV+ from his time outside. FIV+ cats can live a normal life, but need a bit more attention to their health and vet visits. They can also cohabit homes with other cats as long as they get along and do not fight. Macho Man is only 1 1/2 years old, so he does like to play a bit rough. We would just recommend his behavior be monitored for the first little bit to make sure he doesn't play too rough with any other cats in the house.
