My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Knuckles is a 10-12 month mixed terrier from Houston, TX currently in foster thru an organization called True North Rescue Mission.

Knuckles is a GREAT dog when he trusts you. Would be best in a home with no kids. The adopters should spend equal time with Knuckles so that he bonds equally with them and does not get territorial over one. -He seems to be potty trained-- has not gone in the bathroom in the house-- let's us know when he has to go by barking -He does not know how to walk on the leash-- he doesn't pull- he just sits outside and u have to pick him up to walk- harness is best for him -He is not suitable I think yet for kids- their high energy people makes him more anxious and nervous -He can hold his pee for a while -Should be with people who have had dogs before and are used to the training he will need for the fear he has -Scared of noises and new things -LOVES treats -Loves cuddling -Loves sitting in the sun -Loves the grass -Loves the sun -does well with treat training -Can sit now on demand -Better with come (still working on it) -He does not beg for food -Sleeps through the night -Would not be good with other dogs or animals in the house.

**Please note that Knuckles is a courtesy post and is not located at or affiliated with Paws Crossed. Please contact c.tripodi@eaglehill.org with questions or adoption inquiries.

The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
